The nearby
town of La Cruz de Elota has a population of 5,000 and is only a 10
minute drive down the highway.
The town
has many local businesses to meet your shopping needs, including a large
grocery supermarket, banks, restaurants, garden centre, hardware stores,
several dentists, a hospital, veterinarian & a post office. Playa Ceuta
is located 8 kms away and there you can tour the Turtle and Nature
Reserve and then enjoy lunch at a seafood café.

Meanwhile,
the tiny village of Celestino Gasca has a couple of small stores for
basic odds and ends as well as some quaint local restaurants that serve
locally caught fish, shrimp and oysters.And 10 kms south of Celestino
Gasca is the small Pueblo of Estacion Dimas. This quaint town has some
old historical buildings and has a seafood restaurant that is frequented
by the locals. There you can enjoy fresh local seafood and Mexican
cuisine.
Visit El
Salto, a World Class Bass Fishing Lake located ˝ hour drive away. Tour
the Colonial towns of Cosalá or El Quelite. Enjoy the quaint shops and
practice your Spanish with some of the friendly locals.
And of
course Mazatlan is only 45 miles away for special occasions. There you
will find many top quality restaurants and some familiar shopping in
stores like Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. Enjoy a water front walk along the
Malecon or tour the Historical Old Town Mazatlan, the Plaza Machado,
Juarez Market and the Golden Zone.
